New Green Team First Saturday Begins March 7!

Gardens are not one and done. Our new Green Team First Saturdays are a chance to meet up with neighbors and continue the flowering of South Midwood.

We will kick off on March 7 by brightening up our Foster Avenue Greenway. Working on Foster from 9 to 11, we will reward ourselves afterwards with coffee and croissants. It’s an opportunity for you to get a jump on spring AND talk gardens with your Brooklyn peeps.

What will we be doing? Depending on the weather, we may be reinstalling string barriers on tree guards, collecting litter or installing pavers. Sign up here and feel free to bring a buddy.

Like all the best things in life, gardens require our attention and care. New this year, the South Midwood Pollinators are starting Green Team First Saturdays. Each month we will be devoting two hours to a specific neighborhood greening project and following it up with time for coffee and conversation. We might be watering street trees, planting wildflower seeds, weeding Flatbush Malls or installing pavers on Foster Avenue. We invite everyone to join our team!
