Hummingbirds in South Midwood!

Updated: 2 days ago

For 3 weeks now, a female Ruby Throated Hummingbird has been snacking in my garden. Her favorite food seems to be the nectar of the appropriately named Hummingbird Mint, an annual I grew from seed this year.

Have you seen hummingbirds in your garden? Email us at southmidwoodpollinators@gmail.

Here's hoping she likes us well enough to raise a family in Brooklyn next spring. That would be a dream come true.

One thing's for certain, I will be growing more Hummingbird Mint to share at our spring Plant Share.
