A leaf bin will help! And Pollinator John Webber will build your bin to order! The cost is $16.50, which covers the materials.
There are no downsides to composting leaves. The decaying matter increases soil porosity, raises fertility, diminishes the strain on landfills, and creates a living “blanket” over your plants. To order a leaf bin and support the environment, email: southmidwoodpollinators@gmail.com. Include your phone number as well as the number of bins you wish to purchase. We will be in touch with you about the cost, completion date, and pick-up information.
Leaf bins will also be for sale at the Pollinator Sidewalk and Stoop Sale on 9/23, and at the Flatbush Food Co-op’s Sustainability Sunday event on 10/8.
