Copper Tape Curbs Slugs

Updated: Feb 3

I credit those unblemished kale leaves to the adhesive copper tape my genius partner added on the wooden edge of all my raised vegetable beds this year.

Having been hammered by slugs and snails for years, I admit I was skeptical that a little metallic tape could make any difference.

But, with the growing season about over, I have to report success. I haven't seen a single slimy evidence of their presence in those raised beds, though they still wreck havoc elsewhere.

Installation was easy and cheap - the copper tape is self adhesive. Just wait for a day when the wood is nice and dry and FIRMLY adhere the tape by rubbing it.
